Christine Bongers is a former radio and television journalist who is happier writing fiction.
Her debut novel
Dust, a gritty, witty and evocative coming of age tale, was inspired by Christine’s experiences growing up with six brothers in drought-stricken Queensland.
Her much-anticipated middle-school novel
Henry Hoey Hobson will be released in July 2010.
Christine lives in Brisbane with her husband, kids, cat and a bad beagle who eats underpants, togs, thongs and brassieres.
She is currently channeling her anguish at the loss of a lovely pair of silver snakeskin sandals into an adult crime novel,
The Lonely Dead.
