ALL STATE WINNERS WILL BE AWARDED CASH PRIZES WINNING MANUSCRIPTS WILL RECEIVE PERSONALIZED ADVICE FROM PENGUIN GROUP (AUSTRALIA) ACCOMPANYING THE MONETARY PRIZE WILL BE A FULL EDITORIAL REPORT ON THE NATIONAL WINNING MANUSCRIPT - COURTESY OF PENGUIN GROUP (AUSTRALIA)

State Winners will have the opportunity to attend the Somerset Celebration of Literature (10-14 March 2008), be billeted with members of the Somerset Wordsmith’s Club and attend the Literary Dinner Friday 14 March, where the national winner will be officially announced. This decision will be at the discretion of the competition organizers. The competition is open to ALL current secondary students attending school in Australia.

Entrants must be under 19 years of age as at date of close of entries 5 December, 2007.
