Employment Opportunities at Somerset College

PRIMARY TEACHERS 2009

Somerset College is seeking to appoint Primary Teachers to commence January 2009. Applications close on 4th July 2008.

The Headmaster has been designated the authority by School Council regarding the employment of staff. All new staff, appointed to the school, are issued with an employment contract generated by the Assistant to the Headmaster – Staffing & Policies on behalf of the Headmaster. Consequently, all employment contracts or matters related to the employment of staff should be referred to the Assistant to the Headmaster – Staffing & Policies.

All employees of the school, other than teachers, are required to provide a Suitability Card or alternatively be eligible to obtain a Suitability Card at the time of appointment. All teaching staff employed at Somerset College are registered teachers and criminal history checks are conducted by the Queensland College of Teachers as part of the teacher registration process.
