Cultural
The cultural program covers a diversity of activities from the creative to the visual arts and from the verbal to written expression. Attempting to encapsulate the opportunities available in a sentence does not do justice to some activities that the school offers which are cultural. Suffice to say that the opportunities are extensive.
Cultural awareness and participation plays an integral role in a student's education. The vast majority of activities are voluntary and once a student is committed to an activity their attendance becomes compulsory. It is important that students are aware of the considerable time demands placed on them by participating.
This booklet has been produced as a guide to parents, students and staff to outline the activities available.
Aims and Objectives
The aims of the Student Cultural Program are to:
give those students with special talents a chance to extend themselves and to grow in their area of expertise.
make available to all students the opportunity of involving in the enriching activity for the activity's sake and the effect of their cultural view.
These aims are intended to be general but they do capture the ethos of the cultural program.
