Somerset Tennis

With support from the School, coaches and parents, tennis at Somerset is flourishing. There are a growing number of pupils participating in the sport, many of whom are achieving considerable success at local, state and national level.

Parents, in particular, will play a major role in the success of Somerset Tennis Club. We recognise and thank parents for their efforts, for encouraging their children and for their support of the Club generally. We trust that you and child will find Tennis a rewarding and enjoyable pursuit.

With continued support at all levels it is hoped that the growth and success of Somerset Tennis continues.

There are many aspects to consider when running a successful tennis club and Somerset Tennis continues to benefit from the involvement of parents and friends. The Club wishes to continue this tradition and we welcome and encourage parents and friends to become involved in, and support, Somerset Tennis through a number of activities and events.

All members are welcome to become part of the Committee and/or to lend assistance with fundraising, maintenance or coaching.

Apart from fundraising, members can also assist in the following ways:
  • Coaching (accreditation will be organised by Somerset Tennis) or official.
  • Assisting with running Somerset hosted events.
  • Organising sausage sizzles or other social events.
  • Involvement with the Corporate Tennis Programme.
  • Organising a Presentation Dinner.
  • Setting-up tents at events and team management.

Your support will assist the coaching staff to direct their efforts towards the players and in preparing for games.
