- a child born on 21 February 2012 would commence in Pre-Prep in 2016
- a child born on 21 August 2012 would commence in Pre-Prep in 2017

YEAR 7 AT SOMERSET COLLEGE
From 2014, Year 7 will be the entry point into the Senior School at Somerset College. (There will be limited places available for new students entering Year 8 in 2014.)
It is usual for casual vacancies to exist at most year levels for the beginning of each academic year.
How to Apply
To register an application please complete and return the School's official Application for Admission (from the Prospectus or available for download below). Return this application together with a copy of your child's latest school report, a copy of the applicant's Birth Certificate and the application fee to:

The Application for Admission does not itself constitute an enrolment. Parents will be invited to come to the College for an interview in the year prior to entry (or earlier if a casual vacancy arises). If possible both parents should attend this interview.
Admission to Somerset College is conditional upon the College being satisfied as to the ability of the students to benefit from the programmes offered. Parents will be notified, after the interview, if a place has been reserved for their child at the College. Generally, students are accepted in order of application.
