Joshua Tambunan is an electrical engineering and mathematics student at The University of Queensland. Since starting university in 2014 straight from high school, he decided to explore alternative pathways during his tertiary education. This led to starting a financial technology (fintech) startup through UQ ilab's Germinate program in 2017 and taking an internship in Shanghai with UQ Idea Hub in 2018. The discovery of these alternate programs, co-curricular to those offered by his degrees, created significant value add to his university experience; innovation and entrepreneurship is now a strong focus for Joshua.
Joshua is excited to share what these opportunities look like and how can benefit students of all backgrounds.
