As the Head of Entrepreneurship at Bond University, Baden oversees the design, delivery, and assurance of learning for the Entrepreneurship subjects in the Bond Business School. Additionally he is the Director of the Bond Business Commercialisation Centre, an engagement entity with two main goals: 1) to increase the employability of Bond University graduates, both as future employees of existing firms (intrapreneurs) and as entrepreneurs creating new business ventures; and 2) to contribute to the strength of Australia's entrepreneurial ecosystem by encouraging collaboration and disseminating leading edge knowledge. He co-founded the Bond Business Accelerator, a for-credit commercialisation program, and runs an annual Silicon Valley study tour.
Outside of the University Baden is heavily involved in the startup ecosystem. He is a co-founder of agribusiness startup Ditterich Agriculture, a grain analysis and management solution delivering increased margins for crop farmers, and Pet Wellness Centres, a full service veterinary clinic offering a range of clinical and holistic services to caring pet parents. He regularly contributes to industry events as a facilitator and mentor and is sought out to provide commentary on a range of topics including innovation's role in business and the economy, entrepreneurship education, and developing entrepreneurial communities.
