On Friday 4 March, a group of Junior and Senior School students along with the Somerset Science Committee gathered after school to clean up the College environment. This initiative was in conjunction with the nationwide ‘Clean Up Australia Day’.
The turnout was amazing, with 37 students turning up to join in the fun. The group was able to clean up a large portion of the College by splitting up into smaller groups and tackling certain areas each. To our group’s pleasant surprise, the majority of the College was rather clean, but some areas still required some special attention. The initiative that this group made to help improve our environment was greatly appreciated, and it is a fantastic activity that the Science Committee hopes to have more people involved in next year, everyone is welcome!
