The U15 Girls defeated Kimberley College in Round 3. On 10 June the quarter final versus Helensvale was waiting. Coach Steph Opperman took the girls to Helensvale. They arrived, warmed up and started their game. Somerset noticed quickly that the competition in this stage is very serious. A great test for the girls who earlier that week won the Year 9 APS premiership. Helensvale was too strong though and defeated Somerset. A great achievement from the girls to reach the quarter finals.

The U14 girls played versus Rivermount, 11 June. Two goals in the first half from Rivermount became the final score. The girls tried hard to come back in the game but a solid defence from Rivermount kept the clean sheet. This combined team from Year 7, 8 and 9 students were coached by Bronwyn Lee.

On 5 June coaches Maarten de Kruijf and Royce Smith took the U14 boys up to Brisbane to compete versus Canterbury College. Arriving in Brisbane Canterbury, they warmed up. At the start of the game Braedon Murdock kept us in the game with great goalkeeping work. In the second half Canterbury had good combinations and scored a few goals, making Somerset's opponents winners.

On 19 June the boys were scheduled to play versus Trinity College Beenleigh. Unfortunately, Trinity didn’t have enough players due to injuries and sickness and forfeited the game.

Overall Somerset is happy with the new experiences they had this year in different football competitions. We hope to be back next season.
