With regret I have accepted the resignation of five of our wonderful staff, two from our teaching ranks and three from our non-teaching team.
Mr Rob Davies leaves us at the end of this term. Mr Davies has made a significant contribution to Somerset over the past 12 years, nine of those as Head of House – Starkey. We wish Mr Davies, his wife, Phillipa and children Chelsea and Andrew all the best for the future.
Mrs Katrina Fisher, with her husband, Tim, and children, Delilah and Florence, leaves us to venture south to Tasmania. In her leadership of the Theatre Arts, Mrs Fisher has provided to students and staff alike a creative and personal journey that will not be forgotten. We wish Mrs Fisher and her family God’s richest blessing as they venture south on this family adventure.
- After, 26 years as a member of staff and several as a parent and volunteer, Mrs Elly Van Vliet has chosen the greener pastures of retirement. We thank Mrs Van Vliet for the many magnificent booklets, posters, flyers and classroom materials to name a few of the many documents she has produced for us all as Administrative Assistant – Printing; and wish her the very best as she moves into this exciting new phase of her life.
Mrs Sanya Cawson leaves us after 14 years on staff and we thank her for her contribution to the Senior School in Pastoral Services providing valuable administrative support to the Head of Senior School and the Pastoral Care team and to the Dean of Middle Years. We wish Mrs Cawson the very best as she and her husband, John, pursue new adventures.
Mrs Debra Cole left us in August. Mrs Cole has been with Somerset for almost seven years, three as a relief Teacher Assistant and almost four full time; working in Pre-Prep where her daughter commenced her schooling in Prep with Mrs Copperwaite.
