Well done to students and staff on Season 2 of APS sport. The effort contributed by all to weekly practise, and the energy committed to Friday sport is appreciated.

We are huge fans of reading here at Somerset and believe a good book or five will make any holiday even more enjoyable, no matter where you go. Students in all year levels are encouraged to borrow over the holiday break, provided that they have nothing currently overdue.
Parents of younger students are more than welcome to visit the KIP and borrow on behalf of their children. We are open Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.00pm. We love recommending great books if you need some help choosing, or older readers can check out the ‘Recommended Reads’ displays for inspiration.
If you are heading overseas and are mindful of space and weight, eBooks are the perfect travelling companion. We have a large selection in our library, suitable for all ages, interests and reading levels. For more information and a step-by-step guide to getting stared, visit the eBooks page on the Library Website.
If our eBook collection doesn’t have what you’re looking for, there is a good change that Gold Coast City Libraries do. They also have a huge selection on Audiobooks, great for long drives or longer flights. Membership to the GCCC Library service is free and children of all ages can get their own library card.
Please feel free to pop into the KIP if you need any help at all getting setting up with eBooks or Audiobooks.
Holidays are the perfect time to relax, unwind and escape with a great story. We hope you all have a wonderful break and we will see you back at school in 2018!« Back to IndexNext article in this edition »
