Jeans for Genes Day is always a highlight of Term Three, where the majority of students jump at the chance to wear something a little different to school. In the lead up to this year’s Jeans for Genes Day, Laver 8 held a fundraiser stall, where a host of blue consumables were sold (blue for denim, not for Veivers!).
Our stall raised over $290, which we were all very impressed with. The stall, along with our gold coin donations and donations made to our online fundraising page, meant this year the Senior School raised a total of $1914.95. Combine this with the Junior Schools efforts, the Somerset College Community has raised a grand total of $3517.95 to help CMRI research and save children’s lives. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed, especially students, parents of Laver 8 and the families who donated to our online page. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
