Scholars’ Day is the highlight of the year for Somerset College and is a celebration of the year’s hard work and achievements.


Scholars' Day 2015

Attendance and Uniform

Scholars’ Day is considered a normal school day. Attendance is compulsory for all students in Years 4 to 12 and formal uniform is required.

Ceremonies

  • Years 4 to 6 Junior School Ceremony – 9.00am to 10.30am in The Great Hall.
  • Years 8, 9 and 10 (Middle Years Programme) Ceremony – 11.00am to 12.30pm in The Great Hall.
  • House Awards and Afternoon Tea – 12.30pm to 1.15pm in allocated House Areas.
  • Years 7, 11 and 12 Ceremony – 1.30pm to 3.30pm in The Great Hall with refreshments for Year 12 and their parents afterwards with staff from 3.30pm to 4.15pm in Towers Quad.

Parking Arrangements

  • Clover Hill Drive (pedestrian access via side gate beside The Great Hall)
  • Clover Hill State School car park
  • Front car park
  • Junior School car park
  • Koala House car park
  • Pool car park
  • Sara Carrigan Court

Disabled parking will be available upon request to the Headmaster’s Office.

Coffee

  • Café MacKenzie– open from 8.00am to 1.00pm
  • PA Café – Closed
  • the Bird and Bush (Retail Centre) – Closed

Child Supervision

We suggest that outside arrangements be made for the care of siblings not involved in Scholars’ Day ceremonies.
