With much anticipation we recently welcomed the Spartan Sport return to APS training. Due the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been over nine weeks since our Spartans could take to the fields, courts and track for all of their usual sporting endeavours.
We are resuming APS Season 1 in Term Three and APS Season 2 will occur in Term Four.
Unfortunately, though these Seasons will only include four games against a few of the APS schools.
Please be sure to refer to SchoolBox to find all sport updates and practice schedules.

It has been so great to see a gradual Return to Play come back into effect for our Somerset Spartans, it does wonders to see and hear the students (and staff) outside having a great time while participating in physical activity.
Over the past two weeks our Year 4 and 5 students have been lucky enough to take part in Athletics training during Thursday afternoon sport, getting in some great practice in Discus, Shot Put, High Jump and Long Jump in preparation for our Inter-House Athletics Carnival. Year 6 have been doing Athletics in their PE Lessons so have been enjoying some classroom based activities on Thursdays like Volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee, Capture the Flag and many more fun games. It surely is great to have the students back on the field/court enjoying themselves.
On Thursday next week during Sport time (Week 9) we have our Year 3 to 6 students in their Houses completing trials for the running events ensuring we are all ready to go come Week 2, Term Three for Inter-House Athletics.
