Over the weekend a number of Somerset College students competed at various venues throughout South East Queensland with exceptional results.

Somerset College Tennis Captain Yukimaro Ii played in the Northside Open. This was not an age group event but an Australian Money Tournament for Professional players. Yukimaro made it through to the Quarter Finals, where he played the number 4 seed and eventual winner. Yukimaro followed his performance in the Singles with the Runners-up prize in the Doubles event. To put this result into perspective, a number of the seeds have played on the ATP tour and so, Yukimaro’s performance amongst quality opposition is something extraordinary.
