Well done to students and staff on Season 2 of APS sport. The effort contributed by all to weekly practise, and the energy committed to Friday sport is appreciated.

With the Celebration of Literature less than a week away, following the Festival’s social media accounts is a great way for parents to connect to the Festival and share in all the fun and experiences, both student sessions and our community events.
The Celebration of Literature is a highlight of the year for students, with the opportunity to hear from many authors over the three days of the festival. This year, the Celebration of Literature has more community events than ever and liking or following the Celebration of Literature Facebook, Instagram or Twitter account is a great way to assist in spreading awareness of our Festival to the Gold Coast community and further afield.
There truly is an event for everyone, from the free Somerset Alumni Prologue Party at the College on Wednesday evening to another great free community event with the performance of the Surfer and the Mermaid at the Tugun Progress Hall on Saturday 13 March at 9.00am. There are community events starting this Sunday at Read Café, then at the Gold Coast Arts Centre, Mudgeeraba Markets and finishing on Saturday evening at Dust Temple, Currumbin. There are also signature events with the Gold Coast’s own Tim Baker at the Literary Lunch and Luka Lesson at the Tweed Banora Dental Literary Long Table on Friday night.
Details of all the community events can be found on the Celebration of Literature’s Facebook page, as well as in the Festival Guide. A copy of the online Festival Guide can be found here or for current families, under the links section of the Somerset App and the College Issuu account.
So go on, give us a Like and join with us next week in loving literature.« Back to IndexNext article in this edition »
