Swish swash: the noise of the angry river. Clip clop: the animals who were fleeing. Drip drop: the noise of the river’s last drops.

It has been a busy start to Term Three in the Junior Design Technology classroom with all students engaged and ready to learn. This term, Year 2 are developing their skills using Microsoft PowerPoint creating a presentation on a chosen country from around the world.
They are inserting text, images, animations, transitions and sounds. Year 3 students are very excited to have their first big project programming and creating their own game using Kodu Game Lab software.
Year 4 students are delving into the world of web design, planning and creating websites connected to their unit of inquiry how the world works. Moving on to Year 5, students have had fun designing and creating their own personalised key rings using Tinkercad software and printing out using the 3D printer.
Year 6 Design students have been working away creating short animated movies to be showcased during the upcoming Art exhibition. Our final unit in Design will be planning and creating an innovative wind powered vehicle ahead of our final race day challenge. Year 6 students reflect on their term in Design:
