This week saw the completion of the Junior School Inter-House Debating Competition. Andrews House took out the Year 6 competition defeating Veivers in the amusing and witty argument that ‘Mr Taylor should stop wearing cartoon ties’. As the Negative team – Phoenix Chapman, Phoebe Ross and Angus Miller - won, we expect to see the ‘Taylor Ties’ during 2017.

The Year 5 competition saw Starkey defeat Andrews in the debate that ‘Summer is the best season’.

Well done to all students who debated for their House as it is always useful to learn how to put up a clear and logical – as well as an entertaining argument.
