The Most Fantastic, Funniest Camp Ever
By Tima Korin, Year 4 Student
I loved all the activities at the Year 4 camp but my favourites were rock climbing and canoeing. Lake Ainsworth was such a beautiful, brilliant place.

Last Thursday our Junior School Swim team contested the APS Swimming Carnival held here at Somerset College. It was a fantastic day of fun and team spirit as our Junior School swimmers swam against the best swimmers from the seven other APS schools.
There was plenty of talent in the pool from all the schools which made for some very tough race conditions. As a team we came 8th in the aggregate trophy, whilst we also saw some outstanding individual performances from some of our students.
Raiden Kyaw was 2nd age champion in the 9 Year Boys division, Bessie Dear was 2nd age champion in the 10 Year Girls age division, and Jorja Otto was equal 3rd age champion in the 12 Years Girls division.
The next major swimming carnival on the College calendar is the regional (South Coast) carnival to be held at Southport Pool on Monday 27 February and Wednesday 1 March. Good Luck to all Somerset students who have made the Hinterland team to contest the South Coast Carnival.« Back to IndexNext article in this edition »
