On Tuesday 8 November we held our annual Lower Junior School Swimming Carnival. It was a fun, fast and fantastic morning of swimming, team work and House spirit as we saw our Years 1 and 2 students splash it out from our picturesque Somerset Spartan Swimming Pool.

Students could race in a 25m Freestyle, Backstroke, Kick and three-person team swim throughout the morning. This was quite a workload for some of our beginner swimmers, however, with the assistance from the Year 6 leaders they made sure that all students swam the whole lap and always provided plenty of encouragement and support. Thank you to all staff who helped on the day and to Mr Taylor who kept the carnival running smoothly whilst announcing and calling the races.

Congratulations to Veivers House for winning the pointscore trophy and to all students who jumped in and had a swim for their House. These House points contribute to the Arnison House Shield presented on Scholars' Day.
