  2. Your role in the Junior School? Year 1 classroom teacher and Year Level co-ordinator
  3. How long have you worked at Somerset College? 10 years
  4. What do you like most about your job? The fun we have as a team teaching amazing children and sharing their journey.
  5. Favourite Food? Mexican.
  6. Nickname at your primary school? No nickname.
  7. Favourite colour? Red
  8. What other job would you like to do if you were not doing this job? Midwife ... babies are amazing
  9. What person inspires you the most and why? Loris Malaaguzzi (Italian early childhood theorist). He believed children have a voice.
  10. Favourite quote? “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.” - Benjamin Franklin.

  2. Your role in the Junior School? Year 1 teacher
  3. How long have you worked at Somerset College? This is my 3rd year
  4. What do you like most about your job? Hearing about the amazing ideas young children have about ‘how’ the world works.
  5. Favourite Food? Cheesecake.
  6. Nickname at your primary school? No nickname.
  7. Favourite colour? Yellow
  8. What other job would you like to do if you were not doing this job? Writer/Author
  9. What person inspires you the most and why? Malala Yousafzal. An amazing young lady that has met with great obstacles in her goal to create more opportunities for girls. She is supported by a caring family that also believe in her vision for the future. Malala reminds me of how fortunate we all are to live in a country that values girls and women. A true inspiration.

  2. Your role in the Junior School? Year 1 Classroom Teacher
  3. How long have you worked at Somerset College? One Term
  4. Favourite Food? Butter. It is my evil nemesis.
  5. Nickname at your primary school? Rach ... Not exactly highly creative.
  6. Favourite colour? Blue
  7. What other job would you like to do if you were not doing this job? I always thought I’d like to have a crack at being a Play School presenter. I’d be happy hanging out with Big Ted and singing songs all day.
  8. What person inspires you the most and why? Malala Yousafzai is a remarkable young woman who has overcome incredible hardship to advocate for the power of education.
  9. Favourite quote? “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.” - Dr Seuss.
