  1. Your name? Troy Zernike
  2. Your role in the Junior School? Assistant Head of Junior School – Pastoral and Operations
  3. How long have you worked at Somerset College? 9 years
  4. What do you like most about your job? Being able to interact with all of the students from Pre-Prep to Year 6 on a daily basis, as well as being able to catch up with students in the Senior School.
  5. Favourite Food? Buffalo wings.
  6. Nickname at your primary school? TZ
  7. Favourite colour? Green
  8. What other job would you like to do if you were not doing this job? Sports commentator ... or Mr Sayer's job!
  9. What person inspires you the most and why? My Dad. Pretty cliché, but he’s a model of hard work and is the most generous person I know.

  2. Your role in the Junior School? PE teacher and Junior School Sport Organiser
  3. How long have you worked at Somerset College? 7 years
  4. What do you like most about your job? Being Active, teaching skills that will last a lifetime, students and the facilities
  5. Favourite Food? Mexican
  6. Nickname at your primary school? Bergs – I played a lot of Tennis as a kid and Stefan Edberg was my favorite player. I called myself Edberg which was shortened to Berg, and then Bergs
  7. Favourite colour? Blue
  8. What other job would you like to do if you were not doing this job? Guitarist in a blues band, dive instructor or sports journalist
  9. What person inspires you the most and why? My Grandpa (Ken Kearney) - From very humble beginnings went on to captain Australia in both Rugby Union and Rugby League and won 6 premierships as Captain/Coach with the St George Dragons. He was always positive, humble, hardworking and loyal ...and wanted to be a PE teacher.
