Pre-Preps Singing in the Rain
By Patricia Vizcay-Wilson, Teacher - Pre-Prep
Teachers put inquiry into action for Pre-Preps earlier this week. The class enjoyed learning, in their boots, in the rain.

After the first of many rainy days last week we noticed our Junior School friends seemed to have a lot of energy to burn, and no way to burn it. Cue the kid-friendly Spotify playlist, big speaker and mirror ball because we just made rainy day discos, a thing!
So many children came up and got down and they all had a blast! We have a long tradition of being a very untraditional school library here at Somerset and wet weather lunch discos are here to stay.
Tech-free lunchtime games are also still proving more popular than ever and we keep adding more options based on student feedback. UNO is a current favourite although chess still dominates.
It is wonderful to see the children happy, smiling, dancing and playing even on the gloomiest days.« Back to IndexNext article in this edition »
