Last week our best Junior School Track and Field students competed against some of the fastest, strongest and nimble athletes from across the Gold Coast at the South Coast Athletics Championships which were held at Griffith University.

We had eight students represent the Hinterland District at these Championships, with all students giving 100% and achieving some outstanding results. The highlight of the Carnival was seeing Teneal Nguyen, who stands at 143cm, high jump 147cm to win the South Coast 12 Years Girls High Jump title. Jorja Otto won the 11 Years High Jump, clearing 136cm and Oria Mougrabi won the 10 Years Girls Multi Event. These girls have all qualified for the State titles.
