Last Friday night’s Cultural Tropicollage on Towers Quad was indeed a tropical feast for the senses. Showcasing our amazing range of Music, Drama and Wordsmiths groups, the night was one to gorge on, with vibrant and exciting music and dramatic performances to tickle the senses and make you marvel.
It was great to hear the King and the Beach Boys (surely took me back to the 70s), and our Men in Tights provided a highlight whilst our Girls’ Choir was ‘a little bit naughty’. The plays revealed our students depth of understanding and outstanding performance ability.
It was great to see so many of our students receiving Half Colours, Full Colours, and Honours and I know that the hours involved in rehearsals and performances mean that these were very well deserved.
All of our students and teachers are to be commended on providing a night that was indeed special. A big ‘mahalo’ to Mrs Sue Roberts, Ms Melinda Green and Mrs Josephine Strand for their organisation on the night and also to all of the teachers who aided these groups.
