On Wednesday 2 March the Year 11 and 12 Film, Television and New Media students were lucky enough to receive a classroom visit from a very special guest, Nick McKinnon.
With many years’ experience in the film and television industry, Nick explained how he had worked his way up to becoming a 1st Assistant Director on some big budget movies, working with stars such as John Cena and Martin Sheen.
Nick showed the students clips from some of the films that he has worked on, together with behind-the-scenes photographs showing how the action sequences were constructed and directed. The students then had the opportunity to ask questions about how to get a start in the film industry.
Film, Television and New Media is an OP course that can be selected by students in Years 11 and 12.
