My name is Trudi Morris and I am currently in Year 10. As part of the Year 10 curriculum, my cohort is required to complete a project called Personal Project. For my Personal Project, I decided to write and self-publish a novel about my Nana’s battle with Motor Neurone Disease.
As well as this, my aim was to raise as much money as possible for MND QLD, to go towards purchasing vital equipment for patients living with Motor Neurone Disease in Queensland.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the completion of my project and have raised just under $3,000 for this amazing cause so far. The Personal Project has given me the opportunity to not only do something about a cause I am very passionate about, but, I have also had the chance to develop my writing skills and share my Nana’s story with other patients and families of those patients, living with MND.
