So what is it like to play with a professional orchestra, actually the State’s premier orchestra, the Queensland Symphony Orchestra?
You could ask this question of Declan Roberts or Sam Stevenson. Both Declan and Sam were chosen, after auditioning for Natalia Raspopova, to have the opportunity to perform as part of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra in their Gold Coast Concert – QSO Plays the Firebird. Declan (on tuba) and Sam (on violin) spent time prior to the performance in mentoring sessions with principal players from the orchestra and in rehearsal with the orchestra. The boys were involved in the performance of Mussorgsky’s Night on Bald Mountain under conductor Daniel Kossov.

Congratulations and well done Declan and Sam.
