During Activities Week, the Year 8s had a wonderful time exploring the various exhibits at the Queensland Science Museum in Brisbane.

We spent the fun-filled day discovering real life applications of science throughout the Sciencentre, learning about electricity in a Science Show especially put on for us. We got to explore and examine the variety of exhibits throughout the museum, ranging from dinosaurs to sea-life and everything in between. I would like thank all of the teachers who made this magnificent excursion possible! Katie O'Loughlin - Year 8 Student

Somerset Science students had a fantastic day at the Queensland Science Museum. As ambassadors for the College I was delighted with their behaviour, engagement and enthusiasm on the day. These alternate days allow the students to have unique hands-on experiences, where serious science crosses over with play. In order for the students to be able to have this experience, I would have to thank the teachers that supervise the students on the day; thank you to Mrs Elly Lynch, Mr Andrew Hawtin, Mrs Eleanor Amores, Mr Brad Walker and Mrs Bernadette Dawe.
