Tuesday 17 May saw the Somerset College Cross Country team compete at the APS carnival at Runaway Bay. Our team consisted of a total of over 70 runners. Each race had over 60 runners competing from the eight APS schools.
The team performed exceptionally well on the day. Numerous runners qualified for the South Coast Trials and Somerset secured 3rd position in the aggregate standings, with another year closing the gap on the top 2 teams.
We would like to extend our congratulations to all runners for representing themselves and Somerset College in such a commendable manner. Many thanks to Mr Healy, Mrs Walker and Ms Oppermann for their great commitment and countless hours spent training the team.
Full details of all results are on Schoolbox.
We now look forward to our Track and Field Season commencing on our new track on Monday 30 June, with all details on the Sports Page of Schoolbox under Athletics.
