This week we play Intra-murals in sport as our Rowing and Senior Basketball Teams head off to State Titles. Athletics practices continue over the holidays for State Titles and State Teams Knock-out.
Toby Wilson, Lifesaving
Toby Wilson travelled to the Netherlands as a member of the Australian Youth Lifesaving Team where he represented Australia at the World Championships.
The Australian Team dominated in the surf and beach events at Noordwijk, and went on to win the overall Youth competition with solid performances in the pool rescue events at Eindhoven.
Toby can now claim three World Championship Youth titles. Individually, he took out the Male Surf Race and was a member of the winning Male Taplin Relay team at Noordwijk Beach. He then had further success by winning the 200m Obstacle Event at Eindhoven in a time of 1:58.8.
He will return to Australia this week for a short rest before attending a Swimming Queensland ‘Towards Tokyo’ training camp and then on to compete as a member of the Queensland Short Course Swimming Team in Canberra.
