This week our swimmers head to the South Coast Trials at Southport and we finalise our APS Winter Sports Trials in readiness for our coming practice round versus All Saints Anglican School. APS practices begin next Monday and Wednesday.


Felix and Rylee, Track

Track

Last weekend at the Queensland State Athletics Championships at QSAC, the following students met with success:

  • Felix Jackson-King: Gold in Under 15 Triple Jump and Long Jump
  • Rylee Burns: Gold in Under 16 Triple Jump (PB 11.11)
  • Holly MacDonald: Bronze in Under 16 High Jump
  • Tenyka Chapman: Silver in Under 17 400m hurdles

All four qualified for the Australian Junior Track and Field Championships being held at Sydney Olympic Park in March.

Friday 3 March

  • 12.50pm: Sports Assembly (swimming record-breakers)
  • 1.15pm: Winter Sport Trials (3 of 3)

Next Week

Monday 6 March

  • 3.30pm to 5.00pm: Compulsory Sports Practice

Wednesday 8 March

  • 3.30pm to 5.00pm: Compulsory Sports Practice

Friday 10 March

  • 12noon: Winter Sport Practice Round versus All Saints Anglican School
