The Senior String Orchestra had its first outing on Friday evening. The group provided the background music as guests arrived for the Tweed Banora Dental Literary Long Table. It is customary to see our students sit to play but this year they have branched out to perform in the manner of ACO (the Australian Chamber Orchestra), so they were standing.

Ably led by their leader, Sam Stevenson, the group took on the challenge to perform without a conductor. Throughout the term, this group has moved from strength to strength. We are looking forward to great things from them. Congratulations to all the members of the ensemble as well as their director, Ms Catherine Lee. Well done!
