Starkey rowers dominated across the board at the Annual Inter-House Rowing Regatta which, most importantly, saw the opportunity for a large group of Somerset rowers to compete in their very first rowing regatta.

The event took place in perfect conditions at the Somerset College Rowing shed, which is situated on the grounds of Bond University. Carrying on the great culture in the Rowing squad, the senior rowers combined with beginners to share their knowledge and to help them prepare for their first races.

Later in the day complete "novice" Quad Sculls, which were filled with beginners, took to the water to show what they had learnt. Rowers competed in Single, Double and Quad Sculls with 15 races taking place.

With almost 40 students learning to row in Term One, the regatta provided great experience before they begin their inter-school competition at Coomera Lake next weekend.
