Peter Bolger

Peter Bolger is a veteran of the telecommunications industry with more than 37 years’ experience. In 2002, Peter co-founded Pivotel Group after acquiring Vodafone’s mobile satellite business. Pivotel is a licensed telecommunications carrier and provides accessible communication solutions to people and communities in rural, remote, and other critical environments.

CEO since inception, Peter has been integral in creating a robust and profitable business. After humble beginnings with just one product and less than ten staff, the business now boasts hundreds of products and more than 140 employees.

Day-to-day Peter is tasked with the growth and sustainability of the organisation, which has seen him become the driving force behind the company’s international expansion, which in addition to Australia, now sees the business with operations in New Zealand, Indonesia, North America, South America, the Netherlands and Greece.

Peter continues to look for new revenue streams, ensuring Pivotel Group can compete with the three major mobile telcos. As Peter holds a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, he identified a way to cost-efficiently deliver the industrial internet to remote Australian communities. Recently, the company has launched its first two ground-breaking ‘ecoSphere’ regional networks in Western Australia, allowing farmers to implement digital farming practices for the first time on remote agricultural properties.
