Yugambeh Mobo

Welcome - Jingeri

Jingeri, jimbelungs! (Hello, friends)

Yugambeh Mobo is on hold for 2017 as exciting plans are being made for 2018.

Nyah-nya’bu (bye for now)

Yugambeh Tomorrow is a campaign to unite the community through cultural pride from the past to our tomorrow. Yugambeh Mobo aims to ensure our Aboriginal culture, concepts and values are part of the South East Queensland story.

The development of Yugambeh Mobo has not occurred overnight but across generations and through community consultation and preservation of the local history. It is the vision of this campaign and the Yugambeh Museum that Yugambeh language is re-introduced into everyday environments, so it does not disappear forever. Cultural pride governs our existence with an invitation for the wider community to join in the celebrations and determinations of Australia’s first peoples.

The 2016 Festival will be held on Sunday 29 May, from 11.00am to 4.00pm, at Somerset College.

Free entry and family-friendly! Save the date, all are welcome!
