APS Sport

All students from Years 4 to 12 participate in inter-school sport in the Associated Private Schools (APS) competition, which comprises of eight Gold Coast independent schools. APS Sports fall under Season 1 and 2, as well as Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics APS carnivals.

In addition, students are also eligible to nominate and compete in district sports via Hinterland District School Sport. This includes some twenty-five non-state  schools on the Gold Coast. Regional sport pathways right through to state and national representation also exist.

Junior School sport (Years 4 to 6) is held on Thursday afternoons with one after school training. Senior School sport (Years 7 to 12) is held on Friday afternoons with either a before-school or after-school training. Sport and after school training are compulsory activities for all Somerset students from Year 4 to 12.
