Somerset College is committed to educating and enabling all members of our community to contribute to reconciliation. In consultation with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, staff, students and community members, we have developed a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), with a commitment to reviewing annually.
The Somerset College Reconciliation Action Plan is divided into three sections: Relationships, Respect and Opportunities. As a College we are committed to taking action in these areas within the classroom, around the school and with the commununity.
The Somerset College community would like to acknowledge the people of the Yugambeh language region, the traditional owners of the land on which we meet, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present, and all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples here today.
