Please note, we are a cashless campus. All retail purchases must be made via card, student smartcard, or digital payment, supporting an efficient and secure shopping experience for our students, parents, and staff.

Uniforms

Our Somerset Uniform Shop, located on campus at the Bird and Bush in the Ray Building, is your one-stop destination for all uniform essentials (excluding shoes). Whether you're preparing for your first day or updating your uniform, our friendly and knowledgeable staff are here to help every step of the way.

Uniform Fitting Appointments

It is essential to book a personalised fitting session to ensure your child’s uniform is comfortable, properly fitted, and ready for the school year. We’ll help you select the right sizes and styles, with room to grow.

Textbooks and Stationery

Somerset Retail provides essential school stationery supplies for students from Prep to Year 12 for any top-ups required during the school year. Whether you need notebooks, pens, calculators or art materials, our on-campus shop, located in the Bird and Bush, has stock on hand that can be purchased with students' smartcards or by parents visiting in store.

To prepare for the new school year, students in Years 4 to 12 will receive their official booklist and stationery requirements for the following year in Term 4, in time to purchase online for delivery prior to the start of Term 1. Booklists include physical texts, as well as digital copies for Senior School, stationery requirements and learning resources for each subject. Please note that textbooks are not stocked onsite.

Somerset Eateries

At Somerset College, we offer a diverse range of on-campus dining options that provide healthy, fresh and delicious meals for students, staff, and families every day.

Our College Dining Room, located in the Ray Building, offers nutritious, plated meals in a welcoming, communal environment. 

In addition, the College is home to several vibrant campus cafés, each offering something unique:

Spartan Lane – located next to the Sports Precinct and Spartan Swimming, Spartan Lane is a favourite for providing a vibrant selection of fresh, healthy bites and wholefood favourites including smoothies, juices, acai bowls, light snacks, and barista-made beverages.

The Bird and Bush Café – a centrally located space for the purchase of light meals, snacks, drinks and barista-coffee. Tables outside provide options for eating and a social space. 

Mackenzie Café – Located at the edge of Towers Quad, Mackenzie Café offers convenient food options, as well as barista-made coffee, with some seating available in a casual setting.

For our youngest students in Pre-Prep to Year 3, morning tea and lunch orders can be placed online for convenient classroom delivery via My Student Account. Older students and staff enjoy easy and convenient access to food and drinks with cash-free smartcard payments, supporting an allergy-safe and efficient retail environment.

Whether you’re after a quick coffee, a nourishing bowl, or a full lunch, Somerset’s café and dining options deliver fresh, flavourful food to power your day.

The Collective and Sustainable Options

At Somerset College, we’re proud to support sustainable and affordable choices for our families when it comes to school uniforms and textbooks.

The Collective, operated by our dedicated Parents' and Friends' Association, offers a wide selection of quality secondhand uniforms and preloved textbooks. Located next to the Track, The Collective is open during term time on:

  • Tuesdays: 3.00pm to 4.30pm

  • Thursdays: 7.30am to 9.30am

For added convenience, secondhand uniforms and textbooks are also available to purchase online via the Sustainable School Shop.
