The highest level of competition domestically for swimmers in the club system was held on the Gold Coast over the Easter School Holidays. There was nine days of competition for swimmers aged from 13 to 18 years of age. To reach this level, swimmers must have achieved qualifying times making them some of the best swimmers in Australia for their age.

The Somerset Swim Club had its largest contingent of swimmers to date compete at the National Age Titles with 17 swimmers attending. In addition to having more swimmers compete, the Somerset Swim Club also featured two National Champions Leny Grigor and Chelsea Strachan as well as a large list of medallists and finalists culminating in the Club finishing 24th
out of over 200 swimming clubs at the event. There were also seven additional College students that competed for Clubs at the event bringing Somersets total to 24 swimmers.

The Somerset Swim Club featured many impressive results throughout the week both individually and in relay teams with the following swimmers winning medals or making finals:

To add to these very impressive results for the Somerset Swim Club, there were six other College students who featured across the Titles. From the College students, there were three National Champions Milla, Olympia and Kyla.

Congratulations to all of the swimmers on their fantastic results at this years Titles. Also a big thank you for the coaches, team managers and parents who support the athletes in their events.

As a final note, special congratulations must go to Olympia and Milla who have been both selected onto the Swimming Australia teams. Olympia has been selected to compete at the 2024 Oceania Championships this week, while both Milla and Olympia have been selected on to the Junior Australian Pan Pacific Games Team to be held later this year. Well done girls.
