Kitted out in their new uniform, Somerset's Under 14 Boys Futsal team headed to Brisbane Entertainment Centre this week, to participate in the North Brisbane AFA School Futsal Titles. Thanks to all the parents who had the students ready for their 90-minute journey.

Team One consisted of Harry Mackintosh, Carter Dennings, Patrick Colville, Augustine Charisiou, Jayden McLean, Alexander Benson, and Orion Burdett.

In Team Two we had playing Leo Razack, Charlie Razack, Ethan Stewart, Joshua Pieri, Will McMonagle, Michael Klaassen, Kenshin Tateno, and Riley Jennings.

Team Two played four matches and was twice very close to a win. The team was not able to place themselves for the finals.

Team One started their day with two wins, followed by a draw and another win. By winning three games and one draw, Team One qualified themselves for the semi-finals. In the semi-finals we played versus Albany Creek. The boys began well scoring an early goal and played good futsal. Albany Creek came back in the second half and scored a few goals. Unfortunately, this ended in up in a loss for our Spartans.

We hope to see our boys continue their training on with Coach Jonno to preapre for the QSF (Queensland School Futsal Cup).

Next week our Under 13 and Under 14 Girls are playing their Futsal Titles. Good luck to all the girls participating!
