The 2026 representative season embodied the extraordinary growth and development of our team following the APS season. As a team our connections cemented, allowing us to adapt to different opposition and trust our structures and play with consistency.
At the very wet Vicki Wilson South South Coast carnival we focused on maintaining connected, short-style netball. We carried this approach into QISSN, contributing to a very successful campaign. We finished the opening day with several wins and continued to build momentum, securing our place in Division One. We then progressed to the semi-finals, where we faced St James College in a hard-fought contest, before finishing our QISSN campaign in 4th overall. This was an amazing result and a testament to the hard work of all players and our coaches Bec and Andrea. Congratulations to Eira for her selection in the Rising Stars Team and Te Hani for receiving the MVP award.
Following our successful QISSN campaign, we gained a wildcard into the Vicki Wilson Finals. We applied the same work ethic and mindset, getting through early mornings and two long days of intense netball. We had several closely contested games, finishing in the top two of our pool, with a major highlight being our victory over Kings Christian College on the show court. Despite facing strong competition on the second day, we continued to perform strongly, securing important wins and ultimately finishing 5th overall.
Although we did not secure the championship title, our team can be incredibly proud of the standard of netball we produced throughout the season. A huge thank you to our coaches, Bec, Andrea, Michelle and Sophie, for their guidance and commitment, to all our supporters for their encouragement, and to the entire team for the friendships, experiences and unforgettable memories we created both on and off the court.
