The Under 8 Green, White and Blue came all out in action last week in the Varsity Champions League competition. And the U15 in The Carrara Elite League.
This week, the White team kicked off the round, versing Mudgeeraba. Mudgeeraba already defeated our Blue and Green teams earlier in the season and won again after beating the White team. The Spartans were brave and tried their hardest, resulting in a second half goal.
GCFA were the Somerset Spartans Green team opponents. Thanks to Oliver and Edward for helping the Green team, now they have an extra player on the bench. GCFA combined well and scored a few goals in first and second half. Edward scored the only two goals for the Spartans.
The Blue team played verse Victory. In the first minute Somerset took the lead with an impressive goal from Alex. Victory came back strong with the equalizer. The game was very entertaining and both teams kept challenging each other. Victory scored more goals than the Spartans but in this age, the number of goals or whether we win or lose is not important. Our priority is that all players improve and enjoying playing Futsal.
The Under 15s were supposed to play two games. The first game was forfeited by Red Bulls but the second game, all were ready. The Spartans played against the Ez Bangers. After a very slow first half, the Ez Bangers came out with a win 2 to 3. After halftime, the team woke up and reacted strongly with four goals, winning the game 6 to 3. A great comeback!
