We are fortunate at Somerset College to engage in such memorable activities.
Thank you Mrs D’Arcy for your expertise and enthusiasm.
As always, the standard was exceptional and it was difficult to pick a winner in each group of approximately 9 students. At the end of the evening First Place students received a Book Voucher and everyone went home with a Participation Certificate.

I would like to thank the Year 10, 11 and 12 adjudicators and the Year 7 and 8 announcers and timekeepers for their assistance. This event could not take place without these wonderful volunteers.
This was the catalyst that began Lachlan’s entrepreneurial thinking, combining philanthropic values, recycling, Tomra, and the AWLQ.
Since then, Lachlan’s undertaken a training course at the AWLQ. This strengthened his resolve to support a community service that receives no government funding, relying solely on donations. RAW recently donated $180 worth of dog and cat food, restocking supplies that were critically low.
Our next collection will be at the swimming carnival. Please support us and recycle your cans with our volunteers.
‘Keep a paw in the door’- launching 2020 officially is RAW!

It was a tough day of competition with at least nine schools involved in each division however our Spartans managed to win both Orange and Red ball divisions, our Green ball team came second overall.
What this means for the 19 kids is that they now all get to compete in the state finals early January against the best teams from all other regions and it is also the first time Somerset College has had a team from all three divisions in the state finals.
Our Green Team versed Varsity Knights. Thanks to Oliver and Hugo who helped the Green team, so they had subs. In the first half Varsity were in motion straight away while our players were still warming up. The first half finished at 5 nil. The Green team did not give up and tried their best in the second half with 1 goal scored and 2 goals conceded.
Pac Pines Blue was our Blue Team's opponent. This was a very entertaining game as both teams played as hard as they could with intensive attacking and defending. Our Blue Team had more shootings and opportunities in both the first and second half but unfortunately Pac Pines Blue scored more goals. We did see great sport spirit and teamwork from our Spartans in this game, well done.
