The biennial trip to the United States of America provides students with the opportunity to visit some of the world’s most important economic, business and legal institutions including the Federal Reserve Bank at Wall Street and the United Nations Headquarters.
The trip is open to students studying Business Management, Economics, Legal Studies, Commerce and Business Technology in Years 10, 11 and 12. Students must be studying a Business Department subject when they participate in the trip.
The trip is offered in the September school holidays and is approximately 12 to 14 days in duration. Students are able to use the trip to complete some assignment work in the business subject they are studying. Highlights of the USA trip include:
New York: Visits to the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, the Top of the Rock (Rockefeller Centre), Wall Street, Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Grand Central Station, the 911 Memorial, the United Nations, Little Italy, Empire State Building, and a Broadway Show.
Los Angeles: A two day visit (behind the scenes tour and education programme) to Disneyland and a one day tour of Universal Studios. Students will also visit Santa Monica and the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
