I loved all the activities at the Year 4 camp but my favourites were rock climbing and canoeing. Lake Ainsworth was such a beautiful, brilliant place.
The Pre-Prep Blue friends had a very special visit to the Science lab this week, organised by Pre-Prep parent and Head of Franklin House, Jacinta Hyman. After the Pre-Preps put on protective gloves and glasses, the Senior Science committee displayed three spectacular experiments.
Bright and early on a Monday morning, 27 eager Year 11 students set off on what would be their last adventure together as Somerset Students, to the incredible Fraser Island. With the company of our bubbly tour operator, Keith (Kiki), and our equally excited teachers, Mr Goodburn, Mr Wrigley, Ms Ward and Ms Scandrett, we began the long journey up the coast to the largest sand island in the world.
This week, Year 7 students studying Japanese were offered the opportunity to experience Japanese calligraphy. The art of Japanese calligraphy is known as 書道 (shodō), which translates to ‘the way of writing.’
