We have a thriving community at the College and are proud of our "Somerset spirit". The College provides many avenues for involvement - staff, current parents, past parents, current students and past students are all deeply valued.
We are also committed to being involved in the broader community. This is actioned through service initiatives, the hosting of significant events and festivals and the provision of facilities for hire. The Somerset community is broad, inclusive, spirited and inspiring.
The Somerset College Foundation was established in 1989 by the College Council to raise funds and allow the College to operate as independently as possible, particularly in its capital works programme. This was an initiative of Brian Ray, a foundation member of the College Council.
The Somerset community is dynamic and vibrant. We produce a range of communications materials for current families, future families and past families. These include The Somersetonian yearbook, Somerset Lifetimes magazine, Somerset Times newsletter and the Parents' and Friends' Business Directory.
The Parents’ and Friends’ Association is a valued group of committed parents who contribute to the life of Somerset College. The P&F Association encourages active participation and organises many wonderful social events for parents.
